Final day and good bye :( (28/08/2015)

During the final day of the exchange and once the performance was finished, participants focused their attention on getting to know more about the programme Erasmus+ and how to develop their own project ideas. After a short theoretical introduction, the young people divided in groups (per country) started to design their own project ideas to be potentially implemented in the future with the support of the Erasmus+ programme. After some working time, each group shared with the others their work and proposed future collaborations not only among the project partners of "Interculturality Enriches", but also opening the doors to other ones that could be interested on joining a future partnership.

After these activities, participants discovered what is the Youthpass certificate, were informed about future burocracy steps to be done after the project and received (one by one) an special attendance certificate designed for the project.

To finish the day, a general final evaluation was carried out. This evaluation was divided on three stages.

On the first part, participants took part in a non formal evaluation that allowed them to express their level of satisfaction with the project at its end by using their body as a communication instrument. A circle was made by them with a person on the middle that symbolized the perfection or full satisfaction. Then, one of the coordinators made different questions related to the project logistics, accommodation, methodologies, leaders team, participants, activities, etc. The way of answering by participants was to become closer or further of the centre of this circle according to their level of satisfaction.

On the second part, paper forms were given to participants in order to express freely and share with the project leaders their comments about the exchange. The option of filling in the forms anonymously was also given in order to ensure that young people could give their opinions in an open way.

To end the day, a group dynamic was made to allow participants to share with the others their feelings, comments, saying good bye or just thank to the others their work during the project. It was a very sensitive and emotive moment that closed the official programme of the youth exchange.

The big day arrived! :D (27/08/2015)

The performance day arrived and all the participants prepared themselves for a working day in the capital city of La Rioja. After a short rehearsal on the hostel facilities of Ezcaray, participants travelled by bus to Logroño in order to visit the venue of the performance (“Plaza del Mercado”) and take contact with the environment of the place. Once there, participants had the chance to practice in situ some of the parts of the play and choose the positions that they would take during the event. Besides this, the working groups created on the previous days carried out also the tasks assigned to them and arrange all for the performance (Spaces, atrezzo, materials, sound, make up, videos, photos, etc.).

At 20:00h, the performance started with a great attendance of audience that occupied the whole square and enjoyed this wonderful event (the final video of the whole performance will be soon edited and uploaded on this website to be freely enjoyed online).

The day finished with a “pinchos” route on the Laurel street to celebrated the success of the performance, share with participants the local gastronomy and provide them some relaxing time after the great effort and work made on the previous days of the exchange.

Rehearsal, improvement, rehearsal, improvement, etc. (26/08/2015)

Final day before the performance of the exchange. The day was mainly used by participants to practice as much as possible the final play of the project and include on them all the improvements needed to carry out a great spectacle.

To achieve this, participants worked on their scenes groups (small groups created to develop little scenes that will take place at the same time during the perfomance) and working groups (teams of participants divided by their role on the performance and with different responsibilities on it). Rehearsals and practices were stopped from time to time in order to run group evaluations to measure the satisfaction of the participants with the work made and detect if potential changes could be needed in order to facilitate the implementation of the performance and ensure its success.

At the end of the day, the plan and structure of the next day was given and explained to all the group in order to allow that they had clear the programme for the performance day, the tasks that each one should develop during the play and the time line of the events of that day.

All the photos of the day can be seen of the Facebook page of the project.

Another day on the mountains theatre paradise... (25/08/2015)

Forth day of the project, its activities, participants interaction and rehearsals.

After three days full of activities, the day started as the previous ones with several games and team dynamics. Then, participants took some hours of rest on the local swimming pool of Ezcaray in order to reload their bateries before the big performance of the project and its final rehearsals. They enjoyed of a wonderful summer morning playing on the water and having a relaxing time together.

Once all the strenght was recovery, participants worked hard the rest of the day on their scenes and improve the transitions between them in order to create a general performance to be showcased at the end of the performance. To make this possible, activities were done by dividing participants on working groups (by field of responsibility) and scenes groups. That made possible not only to practice all the steps to be perform, but also face important decissions related to make up, position of participants on the stage, order of acting, etc.

The project goes on... (24/08/2015)

Third day on the "Interculturality Enriches" project full of things to do.

On the morning, participants carried out different exercises to warm-up their voice and bodies in order to face the rest of the activities of the day and especially the rehearsals of the final performance. These exercises were also very useful to improve the self confident of the young people but also their coordination and team spirit. The activity was combined with brain stormings and group discussions to build the scenes about interculturality that will compose the final performance of "Interculturality Enriches". That was possible thanks to different face to face meeting among both, scenes groups and working groups divided by their role on this final event.

After lunch and some energetic games, the afternoon was used to find and agree in groups different points related to the implementation of the performance such as atrezzo, set, stage distribution, etc. Once these points were closed, participants took part in a workshop called "Put yourself in my shoes". The aim of this activity was that participants could explore together the stereotypes that others have towards their countries and get to know better the culture of the people taking part in the project and how interculturality can enrich their lives as European citizens.

To finish the day, an intercultural night was carried out and on which participants could share and taste traditional food, dances and ways of living of their mother countries. Besides this, and divided by country, participants prepared a TV ad using theater techniques on which they had to introduce to the audience their countries and promote their culture. The night was finished with some traditional music and games proposed by the young participants and typical from each partner country.

All the photos of the day can be seen in the project's Facebook page.
